Working in the Shadow of Everest to Preserve the Last Traditional Sherpa Home
In Aid of the Sherpa Heritage House
Everest
Charity Trek Press Release
Welcome to Paul and James website and an opportunity for you to be associated with a unique and topical Everest trek with some of the worlds most famous mountaineering legends. In aid of saving the last traditional Sherpa home in the Everest region and its associated community.
We need your help to raise money to save this unique home and transform it into a living museum deep in the foothills of the Everest region. Sustaining now almost vanished Sherpa traditions for future generations.
This year Sir Edmund Hillary sadly passed away, although most famous for being the first to summit Everest (along with Sherpa Tenzing), dedicated much of his life to projects benefiting the Sherpa people and their tradition.
“Reaching the summit of a mountain gives great satisfaction, but nothing for me has been more rewarding in life than the result of our climb on Everest, when we have devoted ourselves to the welfare of our Sherpa friends (Sir Edmund Hillary – 1994)"
